17/09/2026 A jig made by Dave Wood to accurately position the top and bottom support plates of the footbridge columns for welding.

17/09/2026 With the top and bottom support plates welded in place, the uprights, cross members and tie bars are laid out in a wooden jig for welding.

17/09/2026 Once the initial welds are made the assembly is removed from the jig to allow access to both sides for welding.
